Dr Pooja Maddela is a registered medical practitioner from the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine. She is the founding director of 'Dr Pooja's Yoga & Integrated Mind-Body Therapies'. She is a highly accomplished international speaker, health services researcher, mindfulness coach, Indian Naturopathy, Yoga and Ayurveda practitioner, exceedingly skilled master yoga and yoga therapy trainer/mentor and clinician. She is a corporate wellness coach; she offers continuous medical/professional education courses to conventional and holistic health care providers.
She graduated from Govt. Gandhi Naturopathic Medical College, Begumpet, Hyderabad. She worked as a physician and lecturer at the Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar, India. Later, she moved to Auckland, New Zealand, offered her services as Asst. Head of Faculty. She was actively involved in designing, developing, and delivering courses for a New Zealand Qualification Authority recognised private tertiary establishment. Currently, she runs a successful clinical practice with an emphasis on Holistic health. She offers Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, and as a registered exercise professional, she leads yoga sessions at the Auckland Council facilities.
